Velryn is a harpy and a former prostitute turned thief looking for his place in a human-dominated world when a mysterious elf arrives on his doorstep and offers him the job of a lifetime. Unfortunately, it means working together with the human Captain of the Guard, Trent, who’d like nothing more than to see Velryn hang for his crimes. Trent grew up learning trust in others was a weakness, which is why he quickly rose through the ranks of Queen Rosepike’s Guard all on his own.
